TRAIT COMPONENTS TO SUPPORT AN INTEGRATED R&D STRATEGY

Abstract

Global food production needs have driven technology adoption in agriculture. This trend has spurred the growth of the Bayer CropScience division, and led to the expansion of CropScience R&D programs for agriculture chemistries, biologicals, breeding, and both GM and non-GM seed products. To maximize the effectiveness of these individual technology areas, Bayer CropScience has set up an R&D strategy that identifies integration points where these technologies can be combined to provide comprehensive products for growers. This presentation will discuss the trait components that can support integrated products.
